A convenient way to handle incoming orders in Unipage applications is the Unipage order app. This can be opened in 2 ways:

  • When the management page opens, a link appears that opens the application:

  • On the administration page, ‘open app’ (2) can be selected at the top right, via the dropdown (1):

The ordering app has the following features:

  1. production list: This button displays an overview of all products still to be produced today, i.e. and overview of all products of all open orders.
  2. When an order is to be prepared, an acoustic signal is activated. This function can be activated or deactivated.
  3. Bulk processing
  4. Settings
  5. The overview of orders still to be processed
  6. The overview of orders pending (under the line ‘orders started’)
  7. An order that reaches the start time (see Structuring orders) colours red and flashes. The icon shows the type of order (delivery, collection or kiosk order) and, for a delivery order, the distance and delivery time are also shown.
  8. An order that has not yet reached this time colours blue. A red band indicates that this time is approaching. The duration time for the full band development is 10 minutes, this allows easy estimation of when to start production.

When the block of an order is tapped, details of the order appear:

  1. A work order or ticket can be printed from this detail screen.
  2. The ‘production list’ button gives an overview of all products to be produced at this time. This can be useful to facilitate the production of the same items.
  3. customer data
  4. production data
  5. payment details
  6. order detail
  7. ‘Start order’ activates 2 operations: If the ‘mails’ option is activated (see Structuring orders), a mail or SMS is sent to the customer notifying them when their order will be delivered or when the order will be ready for pick-up and the block on the order app is moved to the ‘started orders’.
  8. This closes the order detail screen without further action.

When an ‘order in progress’ is opened, the detail of the order appears with almost all the same data but one can activate other functions at the bottom:

  1. print function
  2. customer data
  3. production data
  4. payment data
  5. order detail
  6. total order
  7. ‘finish’ removes the order from the ordering app.
  8. ‘put back in queue’ moves the order back to the top.
  9. closes' the details screen without further action

Bulk operations:

Sometimes it can be convenient to select several orders together to perform an action. This can be done via the bulk function for both pending and pending orders:

  1. all selected orders are placed in the queue.
  2. all selected orders are placed with the orders started.
  3. all selected orders are removed from the ordering app.
  4. tickets are printed from all selected orders
  5. work orders are printed from all selected orders.
  6. An order is selected via the checkmark centrally on the cubes.

Settings order app:

in the top right of the ordering app, the settings screen opens:

  1. fullscreen ensures that the order app occupies the full screen of the computer or tablet. Tabs and toolbars disappear with this.
  2. Accept orders: When the shop needs to be temporarily inactive, this can be ticked off. Tip: when customers report that they cannot place orders on the shop, in most cases it is because this setting is unchecked. So always check this before looking for another cause.
  3. When a printer is added to the ordering app, it can be linked here.
  4. If several printers are defined, this is where you enter which printer will be added to the ordering app.
  5. A printer can be linked via USB but Unipage will need to set this up: contact Unipage
  6. By default, printers are linked via network and the IP address can be entered here.
  7. Setting number of prints per print job: Sometimes multiple tickets or work orders are needed.
  8. If a ticket or work order should be printed immediately and automatically when the order comes in, this is checked here.
  9. The type of automatic printing can be set here.
